WIPO Director General Candidates Answer 5 Questions On IP Policy

Intellectual Property Watch posed five questions on IP policy to the 15 
candidates to be the next director general of the World Intellectual 
Property Organization.

1. What actions are needed in the international IP systems, such as 
those that govern patents, trademarks and copyrights?
2. One year after you take office, what do you expect to have changed in 
WIPO’s management, staffing and procedures?
3. How do you see the future of the WIPO Development Agenda?
4. What are the three biggest obstacles to WIPO achieving its goals and 
potential, and how will you engage with members and other stakeholders?
5. How will you keep WIPO relevant to international policy debates and 
work with other global institutions?
