Dear all,

ICIE will host the Steering Committee Meeting on the "Training Workshop 
on Information Ethics and e-Government in sub-Saharan Africa, Pretoria, 
August 18-22, 2008) that will take place at ZKM, Karlsruhe (Germany) on 
March 3-4, 2008. The Training Workshop is sponsored by UNESCO and the 
South Africa Government. The following institutions/companies are 
involved: UNESCO, South Africa Government, ICIE/Hochschule der Medien 
(Rafael Capurro), University of Pretoria (Theo Bothma), University of 
Wisconsin-Milwaukee (Hannes Britz), University Pittsburgh (Toni Carbo), 
  Quibiq.de (Felix Weil), SAP and ZKM (venue).

Next Sunday (March 2) we will have a preparatory meeting dealing with 
the Second Africa Conference on Information Ethics that will take place 
in Cameroon  probably in December 2008. Our colleague Jacob Maabe is 
taking care of the organization. I will keep you informed.
