I put in my order the first day, and I have also
ordered one for a friend in Mexico but will have to
ship one from my California address to Mexico City. If
you are outside of Canada or the U.S. you will have
the extra expense of shipping from a mail forwarding
service. If there is no discussion of that on the
official site, then try olpcnews.com where many people
outside the buying area are figuring the best way to
get one.

Also, the note from NN is a bit out of date. the
program now runs through December 31st, 2007.

Last week I went to the Internet Archive. They have
done a nice ebook program for the XO, and I think that
this will be a very important application in
developing country schools where text books are hard
to come by. I made a short video of Brewster Kahle,
