Panel discussion on the Information Society - New perspectives for 
post-WSIS scenarios

The discussion will be devoted to emerging trends and new perspectives 
in the growth of the information society.

In particular, it will address the issues of innovation, the social and 
human dimensions of the information society and the roles of 
stakeholders in building coalitions to achieve common development 
goals.

The aim of the panel discussion is to contribute towards translating 
the commitments entered into at the World Summit on the Information 
Society (WSIS) into action.

Co-organized with: Commission on Science and Technology for 
Development, Global Alliance for ICT and Development (GAID) and the 
Observatory for Cultural and Audiovisual Communication in the 
Mediterranean and in the World (OCCAM).
