<incom> XO and digital books

I have not read enough to know how they plan to handle
local language issues. I worked with Hawaiians in the
90's as they changed the Mac OS (and Netscape) for
their Hawaiian language immersion schools, at the same
time they were writing material in Hawaiian and
translating curriculum from English to Haw. It was a
lot of work considering the tiny population of
teachers and students using the native tongue.

In a place like Uganda, the little kids learn in the
local language and later are taught in English. In
Bangalore, according to the Los Angelese Times, the
private schools now teaching in English will have to
use Kannada for instruction or close their doors.

I can't imagine that Libya's XOmachines won't be in
Arabic. And the ones in South America will surely be
in Spanish and Portuguese. So they could use the
Spanish version of Wikipedia, though it has
compartively few articles, given the number of people
who know Spanish.
