The two most common systems for anonymous net use are the German JAP http 
proxy (http://anon.inf.tu-dresden.de/index_en.html) and EFF's TOR 
(http://tor.eff.org/) that works with all other protocols. They use 
different forms of cascading and mixing, and the lastest versions also 
work together AFAIK.

WRT censorship, freenet ist the most widespread system, see
